A wedding is full of printed details, from the first invitation to the thank-you card after the honeymoon. For planners, venues and stationery businesses, a cohesive custom printed suite makes every event feel considered. Here's how to put one together.

Our minimum is 1,000 pieces per design, so these products suit planners, venues, stationery shops and large events best, or anyone ordering one design for many weddings.

The core wedding suite

Before the day

  • Save the dates: a simple card or postcard sent months ahead.
  • Invitations: the centrepiece of the suite. Flat or folded, on premium white or pearl stock, with optional metallic foil.
  • RSVP and enclosure cards: for replies, accommodation, directions and dress codes.
  • Belly bands: a printed band that wraps the invitation suite together.

On the day

  • Programs and itinerary cards: order of ceremony and the day's schedule.
  • Place cards: guest names at each setting.
  • Menus: slim menus on each plate, or larger signs for buffets and bars.
  • Napkins: printed cocktail napkins with names, a monogram or the date.

After the day

Favour packaging ideas

Favours are a lovely place for custom packaging:

  • Mini pouches with sweets, tea, coffee or bath salts, printed with names and the date
  • Small boxes for chocolates, macarons or candles
  • Custom stickers and labels to seal bags, jars and bottles
  • Tote bags for welcome bags at destination weddings

Make the suite cohesive

The best wedding stationery feels like one family. To get there:

  1. Pick two fonts. A script for names and a clean font for details.
  2. Choose a palette of two or three colours and use it everywhere.
  3. Repeat one motif: a monogram, a floral illustration or a crest.
  4. Keep paper consistent. If the invitations are pearl stock with gold foil, match the menus and thank-you cards.

Paper and finish options

  • Matte: soft and elegant, easy to write on.
  • Gloss: vibrant, best for photos.
  • Soft-touch: velvety and luxurious in the hand.
  • Pearl: a subtle shimmer, lovely for formal events.
  • Metallic foil: gold, silver and colours for names, monograms and borders.

Tip: if guests will write on a card, like RSVP cards, choose an unlaminated or matte finish so pens don't smudge.

Timing

Print takes time. Standard production and delivery takes 4–5 weeks after you approve your proof, with express in about 2 weeks for an extra charge.

A typical schedule:

  • Save the dates: order 6–8 months before the wedding
  • Invitations: order 4–5 months before, and send 6–8 weeks before
  • Day-of items (menus, place cards, programs): finalise once the guest list and menu are confirmed, at least 5–6 weeks before

For planners and venues

If you plan many weddings, a branded base design you customise per couple saves time. Print your venue or planning brand on napkins, menus and welcome bags so every event also markets your business.

The takeaway

Build the suite around the invitation, repeat fonts, colours and one motif across every piece, choose finishes that suit how each card is used, and order early.
